Well, how about that?
A wireless emergency call box that gets help at the push of a button and no monthly airtime fees?

Parking decks can be dangerous places!  Cameras are nice, but how does a single officer simultaneously monitor a dozen cameras?  Besides, cameras require a person to continually monitor your facilities.  That can be expensive and it's not much of a fun job.  We've got a better idea!  Keep the cameras, but add Call Boxes throughout your parking deck and stairwell areas.

Our standard Outpost Call Box shown at the upper left is idea for parking decks, stairwells, and other remote pedestrian traffic areas.  These devices work with a standard VHF or UHF radio normally used by security officers.  If someone needs assistance, they just push a button to instantly communicate via 2-way radio to your security staff.  If they are unable to talk, a built in DTMF or CTCSS code is automatically transmitted that identifies the call box location.

The associated radio worn by security officers may be either of two types.  If the radio has an LCD and DTMF decoder, the call box location will be displayed when the call box button is pushed.  More commonly, each call box is programmed with a unique CTCSS code.  Radios with LCD displays, but with the ability to decode DTMF can be programmed with the same frequency and different CTCSS receive codes for each channel.  The radio is operated in the scan mode.  When a call box is activated, the radio locks on to the active channel, then displays the call box location.  If you do not have radios with LCD displays, please visit our Ritron web page at www.falcondirect.com.  Click on the SLX icon for information on a fantastic new radio with features, performance, and reliability.  You're going to like the SLX!

There are two basic Outpost Call Box models.  The one at the top left, priced at $599 is normally recommended for areas under roof.  The unit at the bottom left, priced at $949 is better suited for use when the Call Box will be directly exposed to rain and snow.  Both units can operate from six "D" cell alkaline batteries for up to one year or 500 activations before replacement is required.  When the batteries require replacement, a low battery alert is transmitted to associated radios.
